Various Clubs and Associations in the Dunwoody area.

Dunwoody Garden Club
The Club was organized in the fall of 1967 under the name of Four Seasons Garden Club. In February 1968 the name was changed to Dunwoody Garden Club and the club joined the DeKalb Federation of Garden Clubs and Rich's Garden Center. In 1973 the club joined the Garden Club of Georgia, Inc. Since its beginning the club has participated in and sponsored many projects in the Dunwoody community. These projects include landscaping the courtyard at Dunwoody High School, restoration of the Dunwoody Cemetery, planting azaleas in Dunwoody Park and the Ashford Dunwoody Road median for which the club won the Deep South Region Mississippi Roadside Award; in 1983. The traffic triangle at the intersection of Ashford Dunwoody and Mount Vernon Roads is an on-going project. Until recently, twice each year members planted seasonal flowers at the triangle. While the planting has been taken over by a Dunwoody development company, the triangle continues to be an on-going project. Monthly water and power bills are still paid by the Club. In 1993 the club won the DeKalb Federation Beautification Project Award. Recommend

Dunwoody Homeowners Association
The Dunwoody Homeowners Association, Inc. is a non-profit Georgia corporation and is governed by an appointed Board of Directors (24-32 members) and an elected Executive Committee (4-6 members). The officers typically consist of a President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. Members of the Board are homeowners in Fulton and DeKalb counties who reside in the Dunwoody area (as such area is defined below). The Board is comprised entirely of volunteers, with the exception of a paid, part-time administrator. The Dunwoody Homeowners Association is comprised of dues paying homeowners who reside in the Dunwoody area. Members typically share a common interest in ensuring that Dunwoody retains its largely residential character. This often entails opposing changes that would adversely impact residential property values, including undesirable development, signage, road widenings, traffic and similar such phenomenon. Dunwoody Womans Club
Dunwoody Woman's Club has been serving the community since 1971 and has grown to a membership of more than one hundred fifteen dedicated volunteers. Meetings are held the third Thursday of the month, September through May, in the Williams Room of the Dunwoody Library. Community Contributions We are a service organization of women whose purpose is to join together to expand our skills and apply our abilities as we promote interest and activity in education, philanthropy, civics, moral values and the fine arts. Our members are leaders in the community whose financial and hands on service contributions have helped to shape the very character of Dunwoody and North DeKalb. DWC members have helped to forge the strong sense of community enjoyed by all who live in this thriving metro Atlanta area. The Club is committed to six departments of work - Conservation, Education, Home Life, International Affairs, Public Affairs and The Arts. Funding is provided through the annual Dunwoody Home Tour, occurring the first Wednesday in October. Recommend
